When the Public Moving & Storage packing crew showed up they loaded all my things into what I think was a 26' box truck and a little overflow into a smaller box truck they had on hand. To digress just a little, Mike and Howard had estimated my shipment at 1732 cubic feet (contents of two storage units 10'x10' and 10'x20').

I asked the driver about this and he claimed no knowledge of what was actually loaded on his truck. The crew told me they were hired to unload 1500 cubic feet, not 2250 cubic feet so I was very concerned. However, the driver had hired a crew to unload my belongings, which had to be shuttled to my house at an additional charge of $800.00. The driver said he did "not" know how many cubic feet of space my shipment was only what was on the invoice which stated 2250 cubic feet of my belongings. The driver said he does "not" work for Public Moving & Storage.

I was surprised to see that my shipment was "not" being delivered by Public Moving & Storage, but Scorpion Van Lines operating under the license of Rolls Transport Group. He had me look up his competitor's businesses and pointed out that they were all just transport brokerage companies based in Florida. Mike repeatedly had me look at DOT stats for their moving company and the miles they've driven. Mike and Howard at Public Moving & storage gave me their sales pitch about how they operate their own company trucks and don't contract out the shipments. We're not through with all the damage and items missing. This is a crooked outfit that gives the rest of the industry a bad name buyer beware check the better business bureau for this one. I think he wasn't allowed to take his to work. We took his word we didn't think anyone could be so cold.
Check the better business bureau! We should have but we trusted the salesman and he all kinds of consessions. A week and a half after we got to Florida. We had to wait to speak out until we got our furniture. What a fool! It wasn't even the proper two wheel dolly (moving Dollie). One fool the moving foreman decides he's going to take my long dresser down 4 front stairs by himself and breaks my step in half it has to be a 300 lb.
This is so wrong and they now it ,these people should be punished for what they do. Some people might not have the resources but our son is an attorney and we have no choice to take a legal route. I had to call the police just to file a report. We had to pay! Or they wouldn't let our belongings off the truck. The cost us an extra $1000.00 for tape ,shrink wrap,boxes and $75.00 per flight of stairs. Be aware! He's a snake charmer! He will sell you this package that nothing but furthest from the truth. Do your home work! The salesman play it so sweet. " some people you just can't please." They have this scam down to a science. I read the reviews and they post the good ones and I seen one bad one and questioned the salesman again don't worrie your bound to get a bad one. The salesman words were do worrie we will take care of everything. I packed all my wall art like I was told. I wrapped all my boxes and covered my mattress and box spring,I bubble wrapped all my glass like I was told. The contract don't mean they will charge whatever they want to. We were ripped off! We were mislead and sold a bill of good that was a lie. I'm sure they make their employees write these. Stay away.!! Oh and any positive reviews are completely fake. Next morning I found it in our compost bin in the back yard. Oh and when they left I asked to them to take that plastic wrap and cardboard and tape with them. All the beds are missing screws, bolts, Unprofessional packing where they use your clothing to wrap breakable items. Its been one week and we are still not done. at 12:30 am the 3 kids that spoke little english told us they were done and left us to put up 2 beds, unpack most of the boxes, remove all that cardboard, plastic bubble wrap and tons of white packing paper. Our items were delivered at 9:15 PM !! 12 days after the requested date.
Our items were stored for 30 days and 2 weeks ahead of that I called and requested a delivery date. When my husband went back to our house in the am, they were found sleeping on our bedroom floor.They forgot to pack one bathroom and left an area rug and huge box behind. They added another $3100 onto our bill, 3 kids were there (5 hrs late) spoke little english, they worked until 5:30 am (my husband and I went to a hotel). I should have read these reviews before hand. From the moment they picked up our stuff (5/31/17) I knew we were in for trouble.
